Curious to know if anyone tried the beer battered fairytale eggplant. Just finished some up here on this end – substituted smoked paprika for cayenne – they were OK, but maybe the beer battered fares are best left to the brew pubs. But hey, you never know unless you try! (The yogurt dip though is fabulous!)
Here’s what’s in the box this week:
Small: lettuce, chard, tomatoes, beets, spaghetti squash, red onions, melons, aubergine, and a pepper.
Mediums get all this with an extra pepper, shishito peppers and dino kale.
Large, you also get extra peppers, extra kale and leeks.
We hope you’re finding exciting new ways to cook up what’s in your box, and that you are generally enjoying the fares. Now that the fall is approaching, and the weather threatens to cool down (can you believe the weather today?!) we will try and start thinking comfort food when we look up recipes.
